ABOUT
Heart of the Ministry
I started Wisdom from the Word in 2025, as an effort to serve people and churches in the area of biblical counseling. My desire is to help those who are struggling through sin and suffering with the sufficient Word of God. Whatever circumstance you might find yourself in, my goal is to walk with you and help you see that every trial we face, is an opportunity to draw near to God and grow through His gracious provisions.
Not only do I want to help individuals, but I also want to partner with churches, who are trying to minister to people in their congregations who are experiencing struggles that they do not currently feel equipped to handle. Those who are given the responsibility to shepherd God’s people want to make sure that what their members are receiving in the counseling room on Monday, isn’t contradicting what was preached in the pulpit on Sunday. If you share this conviction and find yourself in a situation that you don’t feel equipped to handle, I would love to come along side you and your church and work together to get your member(s) the biblical help they need.
Meet Louis Sacran
I grew up in Smithville, TN and moved to New Albany, Mississippi in 2003, to marry my wife, Abigail. We have two children, Lily and David. Abigail is the founder of Spreading Sunshine, a nonprofit based out of Memphis, TN, that seeks to serve families who have children with critical or chronic illness (www.spreading-sunshine.org).
I am a pastor and have served in an official ministry role since 2012. I have been involved in biblical counseling for about 15 years. Before I became a senior pastor in 2019, I worked as a counselor at Northeast Mississippi Community college for 8 years, and as a music teacher for East Union attendance center for 5 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (2007) and a master’s degree in counseling (2012), both received from The University of Mississippi. I became a certified biblical counselor through ACBC (www.biblicalcounseling.com) in 2016 and earned a Master of Art’s in biblical counseling from Faith Bible Seminary in 2025.
